The Director, IT Integration works directly with AMSURG’s senior leaders, MSO, Essential Healthcare Group (EHG), and other entity structures within the organization to develop and execute merger and acquisition integration strategy and standards for the IT enterprise, including divesture activity. This position will focus on technology integration and system performance activities for AMSURG’s managed IT services team (Cloud Services) Center Applications team, and other IT departments.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as key IT contact for all AMSURG M&A activity practices, working closely with AMSURG Operations and leadership on timing of activities, strategy, execution, etc.

  • Manages the IT activity of the M&A portfolio (integration projects, implementations, etc.) in accordance with set AMSURG and respective entity standards.
  • Collaborates with AMSURG and entity leadership, IT leadership and the prospective organization(s) management team to monitor the progress of integration/divestiture, identify risks/issues and remove barriers to success.
  • Oversees program management documentation, including development and updating of best practices, some development of use case specifications, as well as the storage and recordkeeping for future references.
  • Manages and actively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure they on-track with their requirements so the project plans remain on-track. Actively communicate with AMSURG leadership on progress and barriers.
  • Manages M&A IT vendor management processes and operations in collaboration with AMSURG Procurement, Legal, Accounting, and Finance.
  • Works closely with all IT teams to ensure RCM, Legal, Compliance, and IT requirements are properly integrated into the contracts.
  • Engages Finance and Legal at the proper times for success of IT projects and comply with company guidelines.
  • Maintains information in lists, documents and other locations as requested typically using SharePoint and/or Smartsheet.
  • Manages and executes the governance and status reporting procedures as defined by AMSURG leadership.
  • Ensures recurring system exports and associated reporting needs are met.
  • Draft communications intended for end users or AMSURG leadership team.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and writing.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to learn and leverage established, internal project management and integration tools and documentation.
  • Expertise in physician practice operations related to IT functions required.
  • Experience with vendor applications, i.e., practice management applications, clinical applications, etc. is preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft suite of Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of (6) six years’ experience in a similar position in physician practice operations required.
  • Master’s degree preferred (MBA, MHA, or something similar)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
