JOB SUMMARY:
The Albany FireWolves is looking to hire a dynamic, outgoing, passionate Director of Game Presentation. Game Day presentation is your opportunity to be creative and utilize your knowledge of what a game day experience looks like for all involved. You can make fans stand, shout, cheer, smile and be entertained. You can take corporate partnership ideas and expand on them through all the elements that are at your control in the game – help to create new ideas and utilize your expertise to WOW the corporate partners! Creative mindset to develop unique opportunities, utilizing pop culture, searching for trends across the sports industry and making the arena come ALIVE! Have an outgoing personality, be able to work under deadlines, be creative in your various ideas and offer what is best for the company. This job is a full-time position and reports to the team President.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of, or equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, a master’s degree is preferable.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience in Game Presentation, developing scripts, planning the run of show.
  • Sports entertainment experience is preferred, knowledge of lacrosse is preferable.
  • Excellent people skills, and an ability to interact effectively and in a professional, diplomatic, and mature manner with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Candidate must have problem solving skills as well as excellent communication and presentation skills, including being comfortable speaking in front of groups and company executives.
  • Ability to generate new and creative game operations ideas.
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Prior experience in Lacrosse is a plus.
  • Experience as a motivated self-starter, with creative ideas, and the ability to lead by example.
  • A hard work ethic and mental attitude of success.
  • A willingness to follow directions, learn, and adapt in stressful situations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Self-motivated and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible work schedule and ability work non gameday events, nights, and weekends and holidays as required.
  • This position reports to the President.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee game day and game day staff to ensure all areas are executed.
  • Develop and manage the elements for the planning and coordination of needs at start of season to capture all the elements for the entire season that can be used through in game, social and beyond.
  • Serve as liaison between organization and the venue from an operations standpoint.
  • Serve as liaison between outside vendors to manage and collect content and then utilize for game entertainment/marketing.
  • Creation of gameday script and other necessary materials for all vendors and staff members.
  • Meet regularly with corporate partnerships, ticketing, and marketing departments to determine details of upcoming game night.
  • Direct and supervise the activities of various roles, including music coordinator, game day announcer, Off-Field officials, volunteers, and promotions support staff.
  • Hiring and managing of game day staff.
  • Schedule and supervise volunteer crew at all home games.
  • Work with marketing and promotions team to coordinate additional non-gameday events and programming.
  • Maintain and be able to produce on a regular basis accurate report regarding partnership activation and execution.
  • Willing to accept the challenge and dedication required to grow an organization and a loyal fan base.
  • Will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attendance Required during all Albany FireWolves home games and other required organization or community events, activities or functions as required.
  • Being present, punctual, and engaged during all scheduled departmental meetings
  • Help brainstorm and research ideas for original content.
  • Support new strategies for growing engagement and followers
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
