Job Summary and Qualifications

Join our talented imaging department as the Director of Diagnostic Imaging! This person supervises and directs the delivery of patient care or care-related services in a designated area according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the department and hospital. • Collaborating with the radiology management team, manage the clinical staff to ensure compliance with regulatory standards while providing a safe, efficient, and effective radiology imaging service.
• Manage imaging equipment assessment needs, acquisition, use and delivery of service.
• Act as a resource and facilitator regarding compliance with radiology-specific policies and procedures. Oversee the evaluation of products, supplies, space, and capital imaging equipment. Make recommendations for change or modification when appropriate.
• Manage and oversee Radiology’s compliance and final documentation of the JCAHO and other mandated clinical certifying agencies (NRC, MQSA) standards.
• Coordinate the hiring and performance management of professional staff to include technologists, nursing and support staff. Develop staff scheduling programs to maximize staff and imaging equipment utilization and minimize overtime.

Position qualifications include:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) American Registry of Radiologic Technology
• Graduate of AMA School of Radiologic Technology required
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• 3-7 years relevant work experience
• 3-7 years of relevant management experience
