Position Summary
This role will be responsible for working across silos to help develop, train, grow and foster high performance at every level. If you are energetic and motivated to bring learning and technology together to impact results, we are looking for you!
Working with a high level of autonomy, the Manager, Learning and Development will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and delivery of training programs, workshops, practices, and procedures to all levels of the organization. This role will help determine the company needs for technical, interpersonal skills, and other individual and team development needs and then work to develop, curate, and administer all learning programs. You and your team will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand, support, and consult on specific training needs by interacting with leadership and managers throughout the organization to develop specifications for course content and delivery. Will be actively involved in both the development and delivery of training programs to internal employees.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, develop and foster teamwork, transparency and collaboration among members of the organization.
  • Create and deploy professional effective, efficient, and simplified communications to the field, customer and FSC. Track and measure results of both internal and external comms.
    • Applies project management and organizational skills to effectively prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects to achieve business objectives.
    • Able to take feedback/comms from business partners and operationalize them for store facing processes and procedures in an efficient and effective way.
    • Manages and creates all SOP’s, job aides and any other needed documents for the field operations
    • In partnership with key stakeholders strategize, consult, design, deploy and optimize appropriate communication and learning measures to meet business objectives and enhance individual and organizational capability.
    • Provide strategic direction and guidance to business partners and vendors regarding optimal training delivery methods, tools, and platforms.
    • Operationally responsible to manage select portfolios including planning, scheduling, and delivery of learning measures.
    • Act as the gatekeeper for timing and execution of company initiatives in stores. Manage/align to the company calendar to ensure workload smoothing.
    • Continuous internal & external benchmarking focused on retail and digital trends in communications and learning and development.
    • Own the implementation and maintenance of the communications platform to ensure effective consumption and execution
    • Regular evaluation of the effectiveness of communications, learning, training offers etc. through metrics, feedback, and dashboards to proactively design, implement and monitor measures
    • Ensure end to end process management and P&L responsibility for all revenue and expenses both internal and external.
    • Lead a Team and/or work cross functionally to get content needed for effective training and communications.
    • Exhibit sense of urgency in moving projects and tasks forward.

    Minimum education required/preferred, area of study:
    • College Degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business or related field


    Minimum years of relevant experience preferred/required:
    • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Project Management or Human Resources.
    • 3+ years of leadership experience


    Additional skills/knowledge required include:
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
    • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
    • Proven leadership competencies
    • Ability to effectively relate to all levels of the organization
    • Previous retail operations/merchandising training or work experience a plus.
    • Proficient user of Captivate, Articulate or other online course authoring tools/software.
    • Proficient user of Microsoft Office
    • Audio and video editing skills
    • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles
    • Knowledge and understanding of graphic/instructional design principles
    • Knowledge and understanding of learning management systems
