**Immediate Part-Time/Full-Time openings in Seminole, Orange, and Osceola Counties, Florida**

New Beginning Group Home Agency is seeking Direct Support Professionals/Personal Support Providers to provide assistance to mentally handicapped adults in a community-based setting. DSP's provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal care. DSP's may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities. In addition, DSP's support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Job duties and tasks may consist of the following but are NOT limited to:

• Performing personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding and ambulation, medical monitoring, and other health care related tasks.
• Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment.
• Reminding/assisting client with self-administration of medications (with proper training)
• Encouraging self-help activities
• Reporting changes in client’s condition
• Documenting services provided
• Performing home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning
• Planning meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding, and clean-up
• Accompanying clients to scheduled appointments and transporting clients or running errands for client

Qualifications and Skills

**Qualifications and Requirements**

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and RELIABLE transportation
• Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
• Six months of experience in human services preferred
• Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
• First Aid/CPR certifications

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $16.00 /hour
