Job Summary: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

ATC Healthcare Services is looking for Direct Support Professionals to assist in various CILA homes in the south suburbs of Chicago. Pay range is $18.50-$22.00/hr. Daily or weekly pay is available!

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct care service to individuals who are developmentally and/or physically challenged. The work involves providing specialized care and training in all identified areas.

• Implements goals and procedural objectives
• Implements and documents all aspects of the individuals’ needs including personal hygiene
• Provides a safe, healthy, clean environment and provides supervision to the individuals
• Functions at all times as an advocate
• Performs dietary duties, i.e. food preparation and clean up
• Performs laundry duties, i.e. personal clothing and linens
• Performs housekeeping/cleaning duties
• May be assigned to various work areas, which may include site addresses that differ from the originally scheduled site.

EXPERIENCE

At least six month’s experience as a direct support staff in a group home setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Sitting, standing, and walking
• Lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds independently
• Bend as stretch as needed
• See, hear, speak, write, push, pull, climb, twist, reach, and possess manual dexterity

CREDENTIALS

• Current CPR
• Drug screening
• Current Physical
• TB Screening
• Certification of Completion: Direct Care Staff Training Course and Competency
