Support Solutions has FULL-TIME and PART-TIME Direct Support Professional positions in Arundel, Maine!

Support Solutions provides supports to adults with intellectual uniqueness and mental health challenges to live a more self-directed life. Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years of age, required.
• High School Diploma/GED/HiSet
• Valid Drivers License and Auto Insurance
• It is a requirement for all DSP's to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. All persons must have at least the first dose (if Pfizer or Moderna) to be in compliance for employment consideration.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a crucial role in fulfilling the mission of Support Solutions by providing assistance with daily living activities such as preparing meals, administering medication, as well as providing support and transportation to appointments and into the community.
• To be successful in this role, you must be compassionate, motivated to help others, and dedicated to providing quality support
• Provide direct care services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and specialized care in daily living, social, and recreational activities
• Provide support and assistance to help support maximum independence of individuals
• Participate in the development and implementation of the individual support plan
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals
• Assist and encourage individuals to engage in various activities in the home and community
• Observe individuals’ behaviors and changes in physical condition, utilize prescribed strategies to assist the individual, and document and report accordingly
• Administer medications (upon completion of certification; all necessary training is provided)
• Assist/perform needed cooking, housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Maintain logs and records pertaining to individuals

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• DSP, CRMA, CPR/FA Cert (Preferred)

• Overnight Shift (Preferred)
