Buddies4life LLC has several Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions available at our: Kaysville, Layton, and Clearfield locations. Starting salary for our positions is $16 - $19 per hour. We provide paid training!

Buddies4Life has been providing residential/host home/adult day program support for individuals with disabilities, throughout Utah for the last 4 years. We take pride in being a hands-on program, focusing on specific goals/activities of daily living skills that will help their Buddies see success and greater independence. We seek to ensure that all of our Buddies get the opportunity to practice the highest level of independence through empowering, and meaningful relationships. This is done through service projects, fundraisers, job site visits, question/answer meetings with community leaders, local businesses, and our Buddies even practice monthly yoga training. Job Description

Our company provides direct support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this challenging and rewarding position, you will help lead the residents of our group home in preparing their meals, cleaning their home and carrying out other daily tasks. Responsibilities:

• Utilize Person Centered Plans to assess an individual’s needs.
• Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
• Monitor, record, and communicate changes in client's condition and respond as appropriate to the needs of the client and family.
• Adhere to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and other governmental regulations.
• Exercise appropriate restraint techniques when interacting with clients to prevent injury.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in care-giving
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, and drug test upon hire
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to establish a positive and supportive rapport with individuals
• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour (wage is dependent on candidate experience, and fitting of the job description)
