Essential Duties
- Assists in preparing food and beverage items while adhering to policies and procedures including, but not limited to: portion control, quality control, property food handling and sanitation standards.
- Assist with and/or sets up and serves meals to all residents as assigned.
- Assists with the preparation and dishing up of salads, desserts and nourishments according to direction of supervisor(s).
- Assists in the preparation and service of food for meetings, activities or special events as directed.
- Maintains efficient cleanliness of dining areas after meal service is complete.
- Cleans and sanitizes all areas in the kitchen including floors, equipment, storage, dish and any other areas according to cleaning schedules and as directed.
- Receives and stores food and supplies as assigned.
- Works in a safe manner to prevent harm to self, other personnel, and equipment.
- Actively participates in departmental in-service training, online training, and other training as requested or required by your supervisor.
- Performs other varied duties/responsibilities as per facility need and as directed.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to perform assigned duties within the parameters and time constraints established for the job.
