We are currently hiring a Digital Marketing Manager (Innovation) in Boston, MA .

*A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite according to their teams’ weekly schedule.

The Digital Marketing Manager (Innovation) will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing the digital footprint for our Innovation Brands, launching from the BBC Incubator. The Digital Marketing Manager, Innovation will be responsible for both digital and social media strategies and will act as an integral liaison to [digital] trends and opportunities for the larger team.

The ideal candidate will be digital-savvy and have experience in both organic and paid social, including community management, as well as in digital media, content development, web oversight/ management, and performance tracking. The candidate must be incredibly adaptable, able to manage and prioritize multiple projects individually, and be an overall team player.

What You'll Brew:

Innovation:

  • Champion Innovation - promote innovation concepts internally and externally to influence performance of product in the market and attract creativity within the organization.
  • Ability to think creatively by developing, designing, or building new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, products, and problem solving.
  • Partner with the core and expanded innovation teams with entrepreneurial thought to drive transformational change to the organization
  • Work within the organization to introduce new capabilities and tools in order to raise the bar for best-in-class digital execution across the Innovation portfolio
  • Identify and manage external agencies to support digital innovation needs
  • Support development of evergreen content and campaign plans in partnership with cross-functional team(s)
    • Collaborate to manage content development for digital, social, and advertising needs
  • Develop and execute against social and digital strategies focused on bringing brands to life and meeting drinkers where they are already living, digitally
  • Provide monthly analytics with recommendations for optimization; inclusive of organic and paid
    • Garner drinker insights and creative insights from social and digital activities, and provide monthly web and social analytics with recommendations for optimization
  • Curate and vet real-time opportunities; support in bringing events, partnerships and buzzworthy moments to life online
  • Lead development and management of annual digital/social budget planning in partnership with team(s)

Social:

  • Manage day-to-day activities on social channels to connect with consumers and drive positive brand sentiment while reporting on key insights and recommendations on optimization tactics
    • Oversee community management efforts to engage fans and foster advocacy and engagement across brand social channels
  • Manage local and regional social media marketing efforts (including wholesaler supported content) in partnership with sales force, regional marketing managers, etc.

Digital:

  • Work with design and development teams (in-house and agency led) to ensure that every digital brand touchpoint is consistent, current and continually optimized
  • Partner with media team (in-house & external) to develop media plans, and manage plans to ensure execution

Web:

  • Lead the oversight and development of new-to-world brand websites
    • Lead efforts across our web team and e-commerce teams to develop and amplify content across channels including web, email marketing, online retail and SEO/SEM, and continually optimize our programs and ensure consistency across our digital footprint

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office environment which includes desk, conference rooms, break rooms, etc.
  • Potential to be in an environment that is complex that necessitates high situational awareness

What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with social media management and/or content management experience for a consumer brand on relevant digital channels
  • Successful track record of managing agency partners, creative and production teams for campaigns and content development
  • Experience working with content creators, influencers, and brand partners to deliver co-created content and programs
  • Experience working with community management, social, and web teams to bring together brand efforts across all social and digital channels
  • Strong understanding of SEO/SEM strategy, Google Analytics and website management
  • Extraordinary communication and copywriting skills
  • May be required to periodically lift and/or move objects up to 50lbs
  • Ability to sit in front of a computer, tablet, etc. for an extended period of time
  • Bending, twisting and reaching
