This position drives increased efficiency and greater value creation in Chevron’s crude oil trading analytics: Build and support deterministic and dynamic analytic models to recommend market opportunities. Apply quantitative risk management models and methodologies to assist trading teams with exposure decisions. Develop tools to support analyzing business performance.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Deploy machine learning tools to enhance Crude Supply & Trading (CSAT) market activity; enable trading value creation through predictive analytics; support decision making process for the adoption of new applications

• Partner with Commercial Analysts and Traders across offices (Houston, Singapore, and London) to support global arbitrage and supply/demand modeling

• Facilitate analytical process improvements, partnering with other Chevron teams to optimize current and future digital tools, and to minimize manual effort and work duplication

• Define and implement solutions to ensure efficient global exposure management via Chevron’s trading platforms

• Develop roadmap of digital efforts and initiatives: coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and to develop digitally driven initiatives

• Champion efforts to utilize Chevron systems more effectively, executing system-based initiatives that increases the operating efficiency of the trading teams

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel, Power Bi, and Power Point skills – experience using Python to manage, analyze and visualize data

• On-call availability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master of Data Science or equivalent (preferred), or MBA

• Excellent interpersonal skills – able to present your views and opinions clearly and concisely

• Team player with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

• Digital mindset and innovative thinker
