Job Summary and Qualifications

As Dietitian Coordinator at our facility you will have the opportunity to be both a nutrition professional and a caregiver, leading a hard-working and compassionate team that is so vital for the day-to-day functions of our hospital. In this role:

• You will be the first-line supervisor for the Registered Dietitian personnel and for the coordination of activities within that service line.
• You will provide direction and guidance for the overall Registered Dietitian Services program, assisting in the development of long-range strategic plans and establishing the highest caliber standards of care.
• You will be responsible for, and have authority for, maintaining a qualified clinical staff by involvement in recruitment, interviews, hiring, and clinical staff development.
• You will perform nutrition assessments, develop and implement nutrition care plans, monitor response to therapeutic diet/support, and participate in patient and staff education.
• You will establish policies and procedures to ensure compliance to regulatory agencies and maintain effective communication with other departmental managers and interdepartmental liaisons.
• You will oversee diet office clinical work practices and patient menus.
• You will assist in facilitating the development of continuous quality improvement and facilitate any relevant, appropriate, and required nutrition sub-committees.
• You will work with staff to provide optimal nutritional services to patients and assist patients to meet their nutritional needs for optimal healing and well-being.
• You will maintain a good working relationship with staff and model excellent positive customer relations, promoting positive, efficient customer relations from staff members.

Qualifications:

• State of Idaho Dietitian license.
• Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Fooc Science, Dietetics, or related field.
• Experience as a Clinical Dietitian in a hospital setting.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong decision-making, planning, organizing, conflict management, time management, customer focus, and interpersonal skills required.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
