DIETARY AIDE -
$7.500 Sign-On Bonus
Shifts: 10:30am-7:00pm, 5 days/week - weekend work required
For over 35 years, North Hill, a not-for-profit senior living community located in Needham, Massachusetts, has provided vibrant living opportunities to people 65+ by offering a host of hospitality, wellness and health care services. Under supervision of the Assistant Director of Dining, the Dietary Aide is responsible for activities related to food in the Houses venues. This includes preparing, cooking and serving food for various events either at a set venue or various locations within Pines Edge/Vista Terrace.
Job Specific Duties:

- Assist with food preparation, delivery and clean-up. Follow production sheet to ensure required quantities of foods have been prepared.
- Assist with utility work as needed to include but not limited to dishwashing, trash disposal and general kitchen sanitation. Ensure all equipment is processed in a sanitary manner. Check and record temperatures of dish machines.
- Using appropriate checklists and logs as required and regulated by North Hill. Procure all needed food and supplies for delivery to the designated houses.
- Check food temperatures as required and record findings on checklist. Follow all safe food handling procedures.
- Deliver food to designated locations at designated times and retrieve serving dishes and any other related equipment after completion of the meal. Ensure food arrives timely and in an attractive and palatable manner.
- Complete refrigeration inspections to ensure food is dated, labeled and temperatures are recorded.
- Respond to resident requests for support. Respond to resident emergencies.
- Follow all safety and hazardous requirements.
- Ability to speak English while in work area.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to speak and read English fluently.
Serve Safe Certified preferred
Preferred Education and Experience
2 years’ food service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
