Richfield Living in Salem VA is currently accepting applications for Dietary Aides. Full-time and part-time openings are available at multiple locations on our Salem campus. This position assists in preparation of diets and provides food service to residents in a safe, cost-effective and efficient manner.

Qualifications: Must be 18 years old or older. High school or equivalent education preferred. Some prior work experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work some overtime may be required. Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly, follow written or verbal instructions. Manual dexterity, motor coordination, visual acuity and sensory judgments are necessary. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Must demonstrate the ability to interact with the residents in a polite and professional manner. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Follows menus and prepare food and beverages.
• Interacts with residents to meet their dietary needs.
• Organize duties to complete customer service in a timely manner.
• Assure kitchen equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitized according to HACCP procedures.
• Store food and equipment in compliance with HACCP procedures.
• Assumes positions on tray line
• Works in Dish room
