Job descriptionOur client in Selmer, TN is looking for a Diesel Mechanic.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be people-oriented with a professional & positive attitude, able to learn and undertake a variety of tasks, as well as answer phones and complete data entry in our computer system.
This person must be comfortable working around truck drivers and mechanics personnel in a shop setting.
This person will work directly with the shop supervisor.
Some mechanical, technical, parts knowledge is preferred. Basic computer skills required. Organizational skills a must.
Diagnose and repair diesel engines.
Inspect and test engine components.
Install, repair, and maintain wiring systems.
Repair or replace damaged or defective parts.
Use tools such as torque wrenches, engine analyzers, and cleaning solvents.
Install and repair hydraulic systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines.
