Our team is currently looking for a Diesel Engine Mechanic/Technician to keep up our commitment to safety and customer service. This role will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

∙ Examine vehicles to determine the extent of damage or malfunctions

∙ Engine / transmission diagnose

∙ Overhauls and repairs engines or motors; disassembles engines and repairs or replaces defective parts; reassembles engines and adjustments as needed

∙ Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices

∙ Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes

∙ Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas

∙ Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications ∙ Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups

∙ Repair and service air conditioning, heating, engine-cooling, and electrical systems ∙ Repair or replace parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings

∙ Tear down, repair, and rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, and linkages

∙ Rewire Ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels

∙ Repair radiator leaks

∙ Install and repair accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers ∙ Repair manual and automatic transmissions

∙ Repair or replace shock absorbers

∙ Replace and adjust headlights

∙ Complies with all safety, DOT, and OSHA guidelines

∙ Adhere to company rules and regulations

∙ Ensure cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas.

Required Skills:

∙ High School diploma or equivalent

∙ Minimum three years of medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience

∙ Ensure cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas.

∙ Must have own hand tools

∙ Basic computer skills and knowledge of truck parts

∙ CDL license preferred, but not required

∙ Good driving record and proven work history

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

  • Diesel engine repair: 5 years (Required)
  • Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Required)
