• Completes preventive maintenance for all assigned vehicles and mechanical equipment.
• Operates a variety of diagnostic instruments and a variety of hand, electric, and pneumatic tools.
• Tests, services and repairs vehicles and mechanical equipment.
• Inspects, adjusts and replaces necessary units and related parts in the performance of repair and maintenance work.
• Repairs brake, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, ignition, air, exhaust, axle, steering, HVAC, suspension assemblies, and related systems.
• Evaluates status of mechanical equipment/ vehicles and performs or schedules needed repairs.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on trailers and vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures; perform daily equipment inspections, as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditions.
• Provides emergency field assistance.
• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical and hydraulics such as bulldozers, graders, pavers, rollers, milling machines, skid steers, excavators, etc., used in construction and paving.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of preventative maintenance preferred
• Valid driver's license
• CDL preferred
• Toolbox and tools required
