About ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital
ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie. Serving four nearby counties, the 15-bed emergency department sees approximately 18,000 patients per year. ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. In addition, the Wound Healing and Pain Management clinics serve as referral centers for neighboring ECU Health hospitals and providers.
Ahoskie, NC is ideally located an hour from the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area and two hours from Raleigh, Richmond, Williamsburg, and the beautiful Outer Banks of NC. Ahoskie offers a moderate cost of living, a strong sense of community, and a temperate climate and location to support a variety of year round outdoor activities, such as boating, kayaking, hunting, fishing, hiking, and golf.
Position Summary
The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist is a member of the diagnostic staff of Radiology Services. As a technologist, you will responsible for the operation of diagnostic and fluoroscopy imaging equipment and for performing examinations. Must maintain a high standard of ethics while providing quality patient care.
Minimum Requirements
- High School, Equivalent, or higher
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Must have current ARRT (R) registry
- New Graduates must obtain ARRT (R) registration within 12 months
CAREER LADDER
- Level I - 0 years of experience
- Level II - 2 years of experience
- Level III - 5 years of experience
- Level IV - 8 years of experience

- 24 hours a week
- 8 am - 4:30 pm
