Pure Integration is looking for a DevOps Engineer - AWS to assist with design, architecture, and ongoing DevOps tasks of a scalable, microservice platform. This platform consists of a microservice backend running on AWS. The platform has high visibility as it is integral to our client's video delivery platforms.

The candidate will directly assist in building and managing CI/CD pipelines to deploy solutions in AWS. The ideal candidate has experience supporting, architecting, and implementing scalable, high performing advertising solutions.

Location: Remote with occasional travel to office in Denver, CO
Work Arrangement: FTE, W2 Hourly, or 1099 Contract Role
Work Authorization: EAD, GC & USCIT

Responsibilities:

• Manage, enhance, and govern DevOps related tools for running and deploying microservice solution components for video delivery and analysis
• Provide recommendations to help drive process improvement
• Help analyze and improve existing AWS cloud architecture, design, and delivery
• Optimize Amazon AWS cloud components to achieve balance of cost and performance – including use of Lambda, MediaConvert, S3, API Gateway, Cloudfront, IAM, EC2, EKS
• Perform deployment activities and conduct system integration validation
• Improve CI/CD automation and efficiency through code/scripts and process rigor
• Establish collaboration of design principles and implementation plans through increased coordination with Development, QA, Deployment, and supporting Client Teams
• Maintain and document architecture
• Establish open channels of communication with engineering and operations teams, facilitating efficient issue resolution
• Gain familiarity with architecture and design concepts for advertising content ingest (transcoding and media conversion) and IP video delivery platform
• Manage software packaging and deployment for video advertising platforms for IP video delivery
• Assist in production operations and maintenance issues

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience DevOps on AWS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering with software development and deployment experience or similar
• DevOps experience managing multiple integrated deployment environments
• Experience with Amazon AWS cloud components a plus – Including Lambda, MediaConvert, S3, API Gateway, CloudFront, IAM, EC2, EKS
• Experience building, running, and validating CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Microservice, AWS, Cloud architecture
• Familiarity with various Software Engineering methodologies such as SAFE/Agile
• Strong understanding of networking technologies
• Experience in developing, deploying or operating a video advertising platform
• Self-starter

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with microservice platforms running video delivery services
• Cable and video industry experience; specifically, with Dynamic Ad Insertion and/or Video Delivery Pipelines.
• Experience with system integration and successful deployment of video products for DVB system and/or IPTV a plus.
• Familiarity with various Video encoding and transport technologies such as MPEG-2, MPEG-2TS, H.264, HLS, DASH (highly desired)
• Familiarity with various industry standards and specifications related to video advertising and content switching such as SCTE-35, SCTE-130, SCTE-224, IAB-VAST/VMAP (highly desired)
• Hands-on development experience
