The Opportunity

You will be a member of the FICO CCS (Customer Communication Services) Engineering team TRICS (Tooling + Release Management + Infrastructure + Compliance + Security) to help enhance, maintain and provide support to its Infrastructure as Code (IaC) framework.
What You’ll Do
  • Part of the FICO CCS team you will be responsible to deploy a highly scalable Microservices platform based on Docker and AWS (Amazon Web Services) as the primary hosted environment. Within AWS, FICO CCS uses services such as AWS ECS,EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, Elasticache, CloudFront, Cloudwatch, IAM, Lambda, KMS, Kinesis, EMR, S3… and many others
  • As part of the Engineering team you will manage everything: from service code to infrastructure, from tools for logging management to the monitoring of the system.
  • Most of our servers operate on Amazon Linux.
  • Responsible for coding and scripting with Python, Java or Bash
  • Jenkins for our CI/CD pipelines; with “Infrastructure as Code” automation via Ansible and CloudFormation. All the code is rigorously maintained and versioned in Git
  • You will join a very successful team of engineers who owns all the aspects of the software lifecycle, from requirements capture through implementation, deployment and support. The team is open to trying out new technologies and picking the best tools to build a scalable, high volume and reliable platform
What We’re Seeking
  • Experience configuring virtualization environments e.g. Docker/Vagrant (best if in an env such as AWS ECS or EKS)
  • Experience deploying services in AWS or any Public Cloud environments like Azure, GCP or OCI
  • Strong development skills with Python or similar scripting languages
  • Infrastructure as Code experience with Cloudformation/Terraform
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
  • Good understanding of Docker and Microservices
  • Experience in version control using Git (or similar) - especially via CLI
  • Good understanding of the Linux System and comfortable with command-line operations on Linux environments
  • Basic Networking concepts including VPN, IPs, DNS, HTTPS
  • Ability to write or configure custom automation tasks with scripting tools, e.g. Bash but mostly Python
  • Experience with configuring CI software, such as Jenkins or similar (Bamboo…)
  • Experience with provisioning tools such as Ansible alternatively (Chef / Salt / Puppet)
  • Experience working across a range of technical areas, including building, testing, delivering, maintaining scalable and resilient infrastructure… using the tools available
  • Experience in debugging issues in a production environment and availability to provide support if required
  • Drive innovation at all the levels (tools, infrastructure, development practices…)
Nice to have skills
  • AWS Certified Sysops Administrator or Solutions Architect, or equivalent demonstrable practical experience with AWS technologies, such asCloudFormation, or similar
  • Experience designing, developing and supporting AWS-based solutions in a production environment
  • Experience with Security/Compliance tools such as Wiz, Qualys, Kenna, Blackduck, Checkmarx, KICS
  • Java development experience (Spring Boot)
  • Understanding of SOA, experience with Web Services (XML-RPC / JSON / SOAP / REST / GraphQL)
