Job Duties:
- The Desktop Support & Vulnerability Remediation Technician is responsible for collaborating with the Information Security team to remediate workstation vulnerabilities.
- This process involves receiving tickets from Information Security, meeting SLO's, coordinating with end-users, and closing vulnerability tasks.
- Additionally, the Technician performs the ongoing functions related to computer hardware/software installations, support, and troubleshooting to deliver the required desktop service levels to end-users.
- Manage the Vulnerability task queue to ensure rapid response and resolution.
- Attend meetings to discuss and analyze vulnerability tickets and remediations.
- Identifies, tracks, resolves, responds and raises awareness of complex application and data issues.
- Perform onsite analyses, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software problems for end-users.
- Recommend and implement corrective solutions, including onsite/offsite and technical assistance for remote users as needed.
- Respond to incoming calls, emails, tickets and/or work orders regarding incidents and/or requests.
- Liaise with third-party support and PC or software vendors when required.
- Install & configure end user software.
- Update hardware/software asset data using ServiceNow upon installation or relocation of any PC equipment.
- Assists and/or facilitates testing phases for applications.
- Perform special ad hoc requests and related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
- SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent certifications or experience.
- Microsoft certification for Managing Modern Desktops or Windows Client preferred but not required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in desktop/laptop support & maintenance.
- Experience in Desktop / Laptop troubleshooting and general IT Support in an Enterprise environment.
- Experience in supporting Windows 10 client environment, MS Outlook, office 365.
- Analytical skills & customer oriented.
- Knowledge of SCCM
- Knowledge and experience with JAMF preferred.
- Knowledge of Splunk.
- Experience with PowerShell desired.
- Working knowledge of scripting is desired.
- Experience with performance measuring and monitoring programs.
- Knowledge of remote access tools like RDP
- Knowledge of ServiceNow preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
- Effective end-user communication.
