Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Study and learn the specific markets, trends and technologies; and analyze competition and influence into new product.
  • Assist Senior Design/Developer from concept through sales sample stages.
  • Assist to create Ai designs, sketches, material specs, construction details, logos, color assortment.
  • Writing specifications into e-SPS and communication with brand team and factory/ Far East Office (FEO) offices.
  • Help determine new assortment each season in collaboration with the brand team.
  • Prepare and provide presentation materials and story boards to present new collections.
  • Present new trends and concepts in team meetings.
  • Present pre-viewing new products with sales and customers.
  • Work with sales to design special requests for Special Make Up (SMU) customers.
  • Work with Marketing to communicate specific product details and features.
  • Assist in approval of pre-production confirmation samples.
  • Track prototype and sample progress to maintain timely delivery.

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design from a four-year college or equivalent; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years of designer experience.
  • High skill level in Ai, Photo Shop, and other computer graphics programs.
  • Intermediate skill level in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to sufficiently present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients and customers.
  • Ability to travel, two (2) to four (4) weeks per year.
