Pipe Designer - Kingsport, TN (onsite required)
Seeking an experienced Piping Designer to join our team. This exciting opportunity is with one of our major defense industry clients, is a 6 month contract position with high potential for extension and/or conversion. Due to being in the defense industry, this position
requires US Citizenship. (sorry, no exceptions) Max hourly rate depending on qualifications is
$58.32 hourly on W2 (contracts do not include benefits)
Piping Designer needed with 3D Plant Design experience, capable of producing model deliverables that are safe, free of errors, and with minimal supervision.
Ideal Background:
- 7 years of applicable work experience with Associate Degree or 3 years with a Bachelor Degree
- Ability to model piping in a 3D environment while understanding the system purpose and requirements
- Capable of interpreting the requirements of Piping Material Specifications and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
- Experience with Model Review software
- Familiar with Laser Scan and model combinations
- Development of General Arrangements
- Must have a familiarity with industry codes and standards
Big Pluses:
- AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Pipe Support Design experience
- Capable of planning work to align with project budgets and schedules
Education:
AA or Tech Diploma in Drafting /Design with 3 years of experience.
AA or Tech Diploma in Drafting /Design with 3 years of experience.
Highly prefer Bachelor of Science in General Engineering or Engineering Technology with 3 years of experience.
