We are a family owned and operated practice located in historic downtown Port Clinton on the shores of Lake Erie. This father-daughter team of dentists has been at this location since 1985 with both an established and growing patient base of all ages. We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices.

Job Responsibilities:

• Documents dental hygiene services by recording/updating medical and dental histories and charting in patient records.
• Properly administer oral cancer screenings; clinical examination of overall oral condition, periodontal probing to locate, and assessment of all other manifestations of periodontal disease.
• Ability to properly complete dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planing.
• Taking and developing appropriate radiographs (digital)
• Proper application of fluorides and other medicaments
• Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions
• Maintains instrumentation for treatment by sharpening and proper sterilization.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene required
• Current state license required
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
• Current CPR certification required

You should be reliable and able to build trust with patients. As an RDH you should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. If you also have a steady hand and great chairside manner, we’d love to meet you!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
