The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Dental Assistants are responsible for providing first in class service to patients, residents, faculty, and all other Columbia personnel.
Responsibilities
The Dental Assistant will be responsible for but not limited to:
Assisting at chair-side as required
Aiding in preparation and maintenance of materials, instruments, and equipment
Pull and file patient charts
Maintain student and patient records
Order and dispense supplies and instruments
Schedule and confirm appointments
Provide cross coverage for dental assistant module areas and radiology
Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of college or a completed A.A. program plus training in four handed, sit-down dental assisting and six months of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a dental office and dental x-rays
Bilingual Skills (English/Spanish)
Graduation from a NY state approved dental assistant program
