Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Supply Chain Manager the Demand Planner (Intercompany) is responsible for managing NALAN Intercompany orders through the order, production, and fulfillment process. Scrutinize Intercompany demand forecasts and communicate fluctuations with Production Managers and/or Regions to improve Intercompany On-Time Shipment (OTS) and Internal Customer Satisfaction. Additionally, the Demand Planner will manage data analysis and scenario planning for finished goods inventories of Intercompany raw material items.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Import, reserve, allocate and ensure timely processing and shipment of Intercompany raw material items.
  • Optimize inventory levels and minimizing carrying costs while also supporting demand.
  • Regularly analyze internal forecast and align regional needs with FG inventory strategy.
  • Manage communication on order deviations with Intercompany Supply Chain and Customer Care.
    for updating the On-Time Shipment Comments within Oracle
  • Communicate requests with regions to update internal forecast systems as needed.
  • Look for improvement opportunities within the material management process to reduce inventory.
  • Provide support and backup of other planning functions as needed.
  • Contribute to “On-Time Shipment” goal and metrics.
  • Support the annual budget process as needed.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, customer care, and other departments.
  • Maintain relationships with Production/ Operations to ensure consistent and timely supply
  • Communicate supply issues and shortages to key personnel
  • Establish metrics to monitor supplier performance. Identify and report key performance indicators to measure supplier performance
  • Collaborate with Regional Commercial Team to improve forecast accuracy
  • Effectively communicate with Customer Care, Commercial and Logistics teams
  • Understand and update system lead times

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred and/or a minimum of three years of production demand planning experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, with Oracle experience being preferred.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.

Working Location

  • Primarily a hybrid role, based at the West Point, PA site.
  • Working remotely from a home office will be facilitated when applicable and is at the manager’s discretion.
