PLM Delivery Leader

As part of Mercury Marine's Product Development & Engineering organization, the Mercury Digital Services (MDS) group offers a unique and exciting opportunity for technology professionals. The MDS group maintains and enhances Mercury Marine's award-winning PLM systems and, as a consultancy, shares leading best practices by assisting client companies in other industries around the world. MDS also provides strategy consulting, business process expertise and supports the cross functional enterprise on its digital services. The MDS work environment is fast-paced, competitive and high-energy.

Position Summary:

The PLM Delivery Leader is a senior position in the MDS practice, where you will have overall delivery responsibility at external client engagements. In this role, you will build strategic relationships with clients and have ownership of delivery execution for large, complex, and impactful digital transformation initiatives.

You will:

• Have ownership of the overall delivery of large PLM client engagements
• Articulate and guide clients through best practices, process definition, and best in class solution delivery
• Provide leadership and expertise in conducting key events such as workshops, user acceptance testing, etc.
• Lead discussions and demonstrate end to end product development knowledge from a production development plan (PDP) perspective as part of the delivery engagement
• Create, maintain, and execute overall program plan and have accountability to budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction
• Lead large global teams comprised of business analysts, solution architects, developers and business teams as part of overall delivery
• Build strategic client relationship throughout engagement delivery
• Approximately 25-30% travel on average per year

Baseline Skill Expectations:

• 15+ years of industry experience with functional experience and cross functional knowledge (engineering, manufacturing, service) of product development processes
• 10+ years of PLM experience and/or exposure in a functional and/or technical capacity
• Overall senior leadership skills and experience managing and leading teams
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Advanced skills in preparing presentations to customers and leadership
• Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight required

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge in Lean Six Sigma methodology, Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Knowledge of Agile scrum and/or Kanban methodologies
• Knowledge in key FDA and ISO standards

Education Requirements:

- BS in an Engineering discipline, Computer Science, and/or IT field of study
