An opportunity has arisen to join the Frontier team, based at Hermitage. We are looking for a LGV Driver (Class 2) to join us on a permanent full-time basis.

The successful candidate’s primary role will be delivery driving, however there will also be a requirement to assist in the operations of the site to meet the commercial requirements of the individual business units whilst maximising efficiency and upholding quality, health, safety and environmental standards.

Ideal candidate

• Full Class 2 driving licence
• ADR trained
• Able to cope under pressure and work towards deadlines
• A flexible approach to working hours specifically in peak periods
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
• Ability to work co-operatively with others and independently at times without supervision

The role – Key responsibilities

• The transportation of product from the crop protection store and delivery to customer premises
• To prepare loads for despatch
• Maintain the delivery vehicle and ensure it is clean and tidy
• Report any defects to company vehicle immediately to the Line Manager

• Communicate with customers to arrange deliveries as required
• Ensure compliance with the company Health, Safety and Environmental policies
• Co-operate and engage in health, safety and environment training as required
• Manual Handling training will be provided.
• Provide support to the site manager to run the site in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure accurate paperwork is completed where required
• To liaise with the logistics coordinator on distribution
• To communicate with stores person regarding stock movements and packaging problems
