THE POSITION:

Day Care Worker – Full-time, Monday – Friday, 6:30 am – 6:30 pm – hours will vary

Our daycare workers will be providing a safe and nurturing environment for children: This involves monitoring the children's activities and ensuring their safety and well-being. The daycare worker should be alert and aware of any potential hazards, such as sharp objects or dangerous toys, and take steps to prevent accidents.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing age-appropriate activities: The daycare worker should plan and organize activities that are appropriate for the children's age and developmental stage. These activities may include games, crafts, music, and storytelling.
• Communicating with parents: The daycare worker should maintain open communication with parents to discuss their child's progress and any concerns they may have. This includes providing daily updates on the child's activities and behavior, as well as addressing any questions or issues that may arise.
• Administering basic first aid: In the event of a minor injury or illness, the daycare worker should be able to administer basic first aid and contact emergency services if necessary.
• Maintaining a clean and organized environment: The daycare worker should keep the facility clean and tidy, including the play area, restrooms, and kitchen. This involves cleaning toys and equipment, as well as ensuring that all surfaces are disinfected regularly.
• Adhering to licensing and safety regulations: The daycare worker should be familiar with all licensing and safety regulations that apply to their facility and ensure that they are being followed at all times.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
