Infosys is seeking an Oracle Core DBA / Oracle Exadata DMA who will be directly working with key customer stakeholders and apply their technical proficiency in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. The candidate will participate in different phases of the consulting lifecycle and will be intensely involved in define the problem, propose, and refine the solution. The candidate will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability-building and help client to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Required Qualifications

• At least 7 years of Relevant Information Technology experience
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• Candidate may start remotely, but will be required to relocate to Tampa, FL.

• Experience as an Oracle DBA and strong experience in as Exadata DMA.
• Experience in Database availability monitoring, Database backup/ restore issues / recovery activities and backup monitoring, status reporting and fixing of backup failures, Proactive DB schema, tablespace and disk space monitoring.
• Strong understanding of Listener and network administration and configuration.
• Hands-on experience of
  • Periodic DB health check-up, Periodic DB Growth and DB capacity monitoring, DB start/stop, DB parameters configuration.
  • Regular DB operations like create and/or maintain database users/logins/Profiles/Roles/ DB links/Schema/Tablespaces
  • Database RAC administration and maintenance
  • Database auditing and security features implementation
  • Problem Management, RCA and Vendor/Third party Co-ordination
  • DR site database administration and maintenance
  • Database technology assessment applying Industry Best Practices
• Should have good experience in Exadata administration and monitoring including:
  • Monitoring Cell desk, grid disk, Cell Flash cache, Flash disks
  • Maintain storage availability during patching and other maintenance tasks
  • CellCLI, ExaCLI, dcli commands execution & administration
  • Starting & Stopping Exadata Cell Server Software
  • Configuration and administration of ASM Disk Groups, rebalance operation by using Exadata Storage Server
  • Monitoring and administration of Operating system and its components (Disks, mount points, Packages, Users etc.)
  • Connect to Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM), verify current system state, identify hardware issue or restart system, and review logs for root cause analysis.
  • Receive alerts about hardware replacement, verify Oracle Auto Service Request (ASR) has opened a service request, and assist field service technician in the data center to replace drive or provide spare drive.
  • Regular Backup and Recovery management using ZFS storage and Exadata Disk-Based Backup Strategy
  • Administration of Component Passwords (DB Server, Storage Server, ILOM, InfiniBand switches, Power distribution units etc.)
  • Evaluate and apply Oracle Database/Grid Infrastructure Software patches or upgrades
  • Evaluate and apply one off patches or Hot fixes patches as a when required
  • Reserve Statistics and AWR Baselines before Upgrade and fix SQL issues using SQL Plan Management
  • Applying Oracle Exadata System Software patches or upgrades, and RDMA Network Fabric switch firmware upgrades
  • Operating systems, and component firmware patching and upgrade
  • Use of Exachk utilities during upgrade and patching
  • Exposure to Performance of Exadata in Setting up and configure alerts on Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control that performance thresholds have been exceeded.
  • Using ExaWatcher Charts to Monitor Oracle Exadata Database Machine Performance (IO Charts, CPU

• Experienced in 24x7 in PROD environments.
• Ability to interact at all levels of clients’ organizations.
• Self-motivated and competent to work independently in complex environment.
• Should be able to drive customer discussions independently and act as trusted advisor.
• Should be able to work with Offshore team based in India.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
