Overview:

A Data Management Specialist processes customer data files to produce electronic and physical documentation for the prepaid card production teams. They do this as part of the small, collaborative Data Management team (DMT) using a wide range of Windows applications, including standard desktop apps like Word, Excel, & Adobe, as well as other specialized applications and internally developed data management applications. They work closely with customer account managers on the front end and production teams on the backend. The job requires attention to detail, eagerness to learn, competency using computer software, and ability to understand and help improve data management practices.


**This position requires 1 week onsite/in the office rotation. Candidates must be local.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and understand all data specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy of all data and related documents.
  • Inspect and perform verification on all generated files and documents before releasing files for production.
  • Follow departmental procedures and checklists for all projects.
  • Meet daily work deadlines and commitments.
  • Create high-quality imaging and packaging data proofs and label proofs and physical printing of labels.
  • Process incoming customer data, store it in relevant job folders on CPI network, and email reports to customer account managers.
  • Follow PCI Card Production compliance policies, including data encryption and timely removal of dated data files.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of all internal data software and utilities functions.
  • Use applications to create and manipulate data processing workflows.
  • Work with IT on software issues, perform testing, and provide suggestions for improvement of DMT applications.
  • Provide a high level of customer service as the tier one resource for all data and label related issues.
  • Strive to improve the quality of the DMT department’s work by contributing ideas for improving processes and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance of all equipment in the DMT department.
  • Be attentive to training opportunities to increase skill level and knowledge of DMT and Prepaid processes.
  • Work closely with DMT staff and other CPI departments as needed on designs, processes, resources, and documentation.
  • Comply with all written CPI policies and procedures regarding data receipt, verification, storage, security, and safety.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED. 2-year Vocational/Technical education preferred.
  • Card manufacturing and/or printing experience desired.
  • Data processing experience desired.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities independently.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and propose solutions.
  • Available 24/7 for on-call support rotation on and off site.
  • 2 years training or hands on experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A+, Network+, and/or MCP certifications desired.
  • 1 year of MS SQL experience desired.
  • Superior customer service and a consistently positive attitude.

This role requires the ability to work from home in a virtual environment, where the following is required;
  • reliable high-speed internet access (hotspot not acceptable)
  • dedicated distraction-free home work environment
