THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN DANVERS, MA.

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking candidates for the position of Program Coordinator II to function as the Data Management & Project Assignment Coordinator. The successful candidate will support the Northeast Residential Services (NRS), which is a large residential agency that oversees the State Operated community based group homes that are located throughout the Northeast Region for the Department of Developmental Services. NRS is seeking to hire a Program Coordinator II. The Program Coordinator II (PCII) position will be responsible for working with the Regional Recruitment Office in coordination with the NRS Recruitment Coordinator and the NRS Senior Management Team to coordinate, facilitate and track all recruitment of new positions and hiring for Northeast Residential Services.

Duties include the following:

  • Provides support to the NRS Recruitment Coordinator when necessary, with entering and routing all positions through the MA Careers process.
  • Works with the management staff to insure timely completion of all required steps in an effort to insure that all positions are filled within a timely fashion.
  • Works to identify and temporarily back-fill projected long term vacancies as well as proactively screening potential employees for hire.
  • Work with NRS and Regional Leadership to track all full time equivalents (FTE) to insure that the agency is within the allotted budget allocation.
  • Responsible for tracking overtime utilization within NRS. This will be done by entering and analyzing overtime data.
  • Identifies trends, themes and patterns to the NRS Senior Management Group and making recommendations for change that will assist the agency with the goal of effectively managing/reducing the need for overtime.
  • Maintains copies of all house schedules, weekly overtime summaries and time verification shifts for each home in an organized fashion and ensures that all schedules are completed in accordance with NRS policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring that NRS is fully compliant with the Statewide Purchasing Guidelines and will conduct reviews to insure that all shopping is being done in accordance with identified policies and procedures.
  • Works with the NRS Director and Associate Director in an effort to assist the agency in achieving more streamlined/effective management, refinement of existing systems, creation of new more effective systems as well as special projects as assigned.

Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week.

Mon-Fri 8:45 AM-5:00 PM

Days-Off Sunday/Saturday

Qualifications

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.

Substitutions:

I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the-required experience.*

II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*

III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*

  • Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
