JOB DESCRIPTION

The DAS Technician will support Distributed Antenna System (DAS) for Cellular and Public Safety deployments and post-deployment activities with testing, troubleshooting, repair and installation of Cellular and Public Safety DAS sites and hardware systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· DAS installation for Cellular and Public Safety Systems

· Typical job duties include (but are not limited to) conducting site walks, performing site surveys, CW testing, cable sweeps, plotting, drawing up, and designing site maps, and installation of connectors, cabling, antennas, head-end and remote electronics

· Installing DAS wireless equipment using any combination of external and internal antennas, cable, and other appropriate components

· Terminating wall and ceiling mounted components

· Completing job related documentation and reports

· Communicating and coordinating with project leads and/or managers

· Keeping informed on safety standards and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

· Maintain a safe and clean work environment

· Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 1-2 years of installation experience in in-building DAS and electrical systems
• Proficient in installation, termination, and testing of fiber systems and low voltage cabling systems
• Experience with Line Sweeping and PIM Testing
• Experience with Fusion Splicing and Fiber OTDR Testing
• Ability to utilize basic hand tools including crimpers, wire wrap guns, strippers, wrenches, drills, etc.
• Understand different OEM and their connection types
• Strong focus on continuous process improvement; ability to develop and improve processes.
• Strong ability to build and maintain a high level of productivity
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely, in writing and verbally.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of software tools
• Ability to travel frequently

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

· Must be able to lift and carry the weight of up to 50lbs

· Ability to do frequent travel including same-day travel, overnight stays or longer as required

· Willing to work days/nights/weekends depending on project demands

· Willing to work in construction sites and perform a high-quality level of work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
