Are you an experienced Cybersecurity / Accreditation Specialist with demonstrated experience supporting DoD requirements? Join our team in San Diego, CA!

As a Cybersecurity / Accreditation Specialist you will:

  • Identify the security vulnerabilities and the needed security protection measures within the scope of the security engineering specialties for: anti-tamper, cybersecurity, defense. exportability features (DEF), hardware assurance (HWA), software assurance (SWA), and supply chain risk management (SCRM)
  • Provide technical solutions for both virtual and physical next generation firewalls (NGFW)
  • Implement Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) sensors and Machine Learning (ML) based on advanced threat intelligence provided by vendors
  • Work with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals.

A week in the life of a Cybersecurity / Accreditation Specialist:

  • Ensure that security posture of the configuration baseline meets requirements to include Defense Information System Agency (DISA), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), RMF and other applicable security documentation.
  • Ensure all applicable Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) have been addressed and security updates are current.
  • Validate patch installations in a test environment prior to deploying and testing in an operational environment.
  • Implement processes and solutions to identify, correct and update noncompliant baseline findings, accredited security posture and operational state.
  • Assess environmental risk and vulnerabilities along with impacts of the current and future technical approaches.
  • Provide Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) support, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and Cybersecurity support for information Systems.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Job Requirements
  • B.S in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or minimum five years of experience in a similar type position
  • 4 to 15 years' experience with cybersecurity and information assurance
  • Experience supporting DoD/IC customers in a classified environment.
  • Familiarity with RMF, DISA and UNCYBERCOM communication tasking orders (CTO) and information assurance alerts.
  • Experience with information systems security duties.
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Adept at briefing executives and program IPT level leadership.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification such as:
    • Security+ CE (Continuing Education)
    • SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
    • GSEC Certification
    • GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional)
    • CySA+ ** (Cybersecurity Analyst)
    • CCNA Security (Cisco Certified Network Associate - Security)
