POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: SCHEDULER/CUSTOMER SERVICE (Wrico WI)

I. GENERAL INFORMATION:

Position reports to: Scheduling Supervisor/Office Manager

II. POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Ensure jobs are prioritized according to customer needs to help company attain 100% on time delivery performance. Respond to customer requests for order status in a timely manner.

III. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (essential and other functions):

  • Maintain high level of customer service by responding to customer requests for order status in a timely manner.
  • Report job status updates to appropriate person, including customers.
  • Make changes to customer orders upon request, when schedules will allow.
  • Work with outside vendors to get quick turn around on jobs.
  • Maintain “Late List”.
  • Review customer PO delivery date using MRP reports and forward to order processing in a timely manner.
  • Check material on order for current jobs: call purchasing for past due material.
  • Expedite customer delivery priorities and production schedule priorities.
  • Works cooperatively with production supervisors (ie: helps find job cards, etc.) and other departments as needed.
  • Retrieve EDI files from computer.
  • Produce outside labor Pos.
  • Other duties as needed to help ensure a smooth flow of scheduling.

IV. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:1. Knowledge:High School diploma or equivalent.2. Experience:Minimum one-year experience in production work, to include expediting, scheduling, and customer service in a job shop environment strongly preferred.3. Ability/skillsExcellent prioritizing, time management, and project management skills.Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.Accurate, detail oriented, team player.Willing to do whatever needs to be done to help meet production goals.Able and willing to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).Safety and quality minded.POSITION DESCRIPTION

V. WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Office and plant environment: heat, noise, dust, cold in winter
  • Fast-paced environment, possible overtime.
  • Safety protection with be required, if entering shop.

VI. LEVEL

  • Works under minimal supervision.
  • Exercises some degree of discretion and independent judgment.
  • Works under pressure of deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
