Job Description

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will be responsible for managing customer orders by phone, fax or e-mail. The CSR must be able to work independently and be able to handle high volume of phone calls throughout the day unaided. The CSR will be responsible to process orders. The CSR will record details from all complaints, and refer to the Customer Service Manager for follow up on escalated issues. The CSR must be able to project a professional company image through phone interaction and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure optimal service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Process customer orders
• Process quotes
• Answer customer calls regarding pricing and orders
• Address customer complaints
• Answer customer calls regarding product line
• Must be able to work under time constraints
• Must be able to work in a fast pace environment with attention to detail
• Collaborate with other departments (including warehouse, operations, supply chain, quality and finance) to ensure optimal service from order placement, through delivery, to receipt of payment.

Education

• Minimum - High School Diploma

Experience

• 1 year general clerical experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft software; such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Basic office procedures and use of standard office equipment.
• Employ customer service skills to resolve client problems
• Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
• Confront and successfully resolve day-to-day problems
• Maintain professional demeanor when working with clients
