Summary

To provide direct support to the Sales Team in the ongoing development of existing and prospective customers and ensure departmental goals are met.

Job Functions

· Read source documents such as sales reports, or bills, and enter data in specific data fields for subsequent entry

· Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered

· Compare data with source documents

· Store completed documents in appropriate locations

· Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors

· Confer with customers by telephone and or email to provide information about products or services, take or enter orders, cancel accounts, or obtain details of complaints

· Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems

· Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken

· Complete contract forms, prepare change of address records

· Maintain customer records, using automated systems

· Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms

· Support outside sales team with communications and tasks

Specifications Required:

· Ability to be personally connected to others on the job, maintain a demeanor with a positive attitude.

· Ability to demonstrate professional communication skills, both written and verbal

· Ability to establish priorities and multitask effectively.

· Ability to operate at an intermediate level in Microsoft Word, Excel and use the inter-departmental database system, Syteline, (windows based).

Education & Experience:

· High school diploma or GED required

· Associates or Bachelor’s degree with marketing background preferred

· Experience in customer service and/or inside sales preferred
