We’re looking for committed individuals with a passion for providing high-quality customer service to join our Customer Service Centre as a Customer Service Advisor on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. The role is fully remote working and previous contact centre experience isn’t necessary, instead, we are looking for passionate people with a proactive outlook, an extremely customer-centric approach, and a great attitude! As we’re proud to support the communities we serve, we’ll need you to live in the Thames Water region. You’ll know if you do as you’ll be a Thames Water customer with your water bill coming from us.

Our Customer Service Advisors are the first point of contact for our customers, and you’ll be representing Thames Water and taking ownership of customer queries, asking the relevant questions, and finding a swift resolution to all enquiries. A professional understanding of what makes first-class customer service is important, as are flexibility, multi-tasking and problem-solving.

Our working hours are:

  • 4-Day Week - Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 08.30 am - 6.00 pm
  • 4-Day Week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday 08.30 am - 6.00 pm
  • Part-Time - Monday - Friday 09.30 am - 1.30 pm
  • This also includes bank holidays

What should you bring to the role?

Don't worry if you haven't done this before. We're looking for enthusiasm, a great attitude and a desire to learn

  • A strong passion for customer service
  • An excellent telephone manner with good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with our customers
  • Enthusiasm and being a great team player
  • Willingness to learn and progress
  • Good IT, listening and problem-solving skills
