We’ve got a number of vacancies for administration personnel, to support our busy business support function. We are looking for individuals with a variety of experience and skills to join the team on a temporary basis. If you are organised, flexible and have excellent communications skills, we would like to hear from you.

What do I need?

The roles we have available are varied and demanding but generally we are looking for people with the following skills –

• Excellent administration and organisational skills
• Strong customer service skills to provide an exceptional service to internal and external customers
• The ability to work well within a team but also independently when required
• Outstanding communication skills – both via face to face and telephone
• Great at building relationships with customers and colleagues
• Computer skills and the confidence to use Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel.

Opportunities may arise at short notice and could be full or part time hours based at various locations across the region. The department is currently under a review and the hours/roles within the department may be subject to change. Our Force is split between 3 different areas – Northern (Incorporating Northumberland/North Shields area) Southern (Sunderland/South Shields) and Central (Newcastle/Gateshead) Please submit your interest for the location you have chosen on the correct link.

Vetting level:

Recruitment Vetting (RV)

Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed.

A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information and references.

Please note this is a newly published pay banding subject to consultation at Northumbria Police.

All staff including those appointed on fixed term contracts must successfully complete their probationary period before they are eligible to apply for a Northumbria Police vacancy.
