Position Title: Customer Experience Coordinator

Reporting To: Branch Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary: The Customer Experience Coordinator will provide professional, courteous, and timely service to customers both in person and via phone.This position is responsible for ensuring a memorable experience by assisting with reservations, contracts, register transactions, troubleshooting, order adjustments and processing payments. Additionally, this position will also provide support related to inventory, equipment, and scheduling.

What you will be doing!

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

§ Assists customer with the loading and unloading of equipment when necessary.

§ May also need to demonstrate safety features and operational features of the equipment.

§ Prepares rental forms and contracts, obtains customer signature and other information as required and provides comprehensive explanation of each term

§ Collects deposit or payment or records credit charges by maintaining customer charge file daily and balancing daily sales receipts.

§ Answers telephone and receives orders by phone; Processes orders for counter and support staff; May make sales calls to job sites.

§ Offer recommendations to customers based on needs; Reserves items for requested time and maintains rental reservation file.

§ Updates/calls overdue list daily and alerts supervisor of overdue contracts.

§ Ensures equipment functionality, prior to and upon rental return

§ Keeps shelves organized, stocked and clean.

§ Inventories retail sales merchandise and advises supervisor of low levels of merchandise.

§ Resolves customer problems.

§ Report safety violations to supervisor.

§ Attend department, store, and safety meetings.

§ Prepares daily and/or monthly inside sales reports.

§ Assists all staff and clients when complaints and emergencies arise by investigating and solving the problem.

§ Monitors, controls, and prevents equipment overbooking by use of daily report.

§ Reviews the catalog with Sales Manager for updates, creates flyers, and prepares and tallies customer service surveys for special projects and mailings.

§ Handles overflow from counter personnel.

§ Perform other duties as requested.

Skills to be successful:

§ Must possess some knowledge of marketing strategies and planning. Must be able to apply logical thinking to a wide range of problems, collect data, draw conclusions, and offer constructive opinions concerning day-to-day activities.

§ Must possess sales and customer relation skills.

§ Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations in written or verbal form.

§ Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in store.

Education and Experience:

§ Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED

§ Counter or sales experience preferred.

§ Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral, or scheduled form.

§ Must speak English clearly and write legibly. Ability to speak another language is a plus.

§ Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems.

Physical Requirements:

§ Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs.

§ Must pass company drug screen.

Work Environment:

Must stand for long periods of time. Most work will be indoors with limited exposure to outside elements. The job requires constant interaction with the public. May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents.
