Salary Range: 61k-95k
Overview:
- Job Category: Acute - Allied - Local
- Skills: 1-year CT Technologist experience, Relevant Equipment.
- Education: A valid license as a radiologic technologist, nuclear medicine technologist or in radiation therapy issued by the NYSDOH and post primary certification in computed tomography issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. BLS preferred.
- Certifications & Licenses: Injections Certificate - RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST - ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) - CT Certification
Job Summary and Qualifications
- As a CT Technologist, you will work with our friendly radiologists assisting with various types of procedures. In this role:
- You will administer both oral and IV contrast; evaluate patients for any allergic reactions; place correct IV for the exam being performed.
- You will perform diagnostic computed tomography procedures at a technical level that does not require direct supervision on neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
- You will perform exams as requested by ordering physicians and under the guidelines set by the standards of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
- You will perform all assigned duties by the Cat Scan Supervisor, Assistant Director or Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
- You will operate and understand CT scanning equipment; practice ALARA standards; understand physician protocols and scan appropriately.
