We want Lambeth to be one of the safest places for children and young adults to grow, develop and thrive. Are you an experienced social care or safeguarding professional who could be our Child Sexual Exploitation Coordinator and help us deliver our vision?

We are developing new ways of working with children, young adults, families, and communities across Lambeth, to address the risks they face outside of their homes. Our new contextual safeguarding service hub will work with partners to realise this vision.

As the Child Sexual Exploitation Coordinator , you will be a skilled children’s social care professional, passionate about safeguarding children and young adults from exploitation, with strong knowledge of the arrangements for safeguarding children and young adults, together with a proven ability to work with and maintain excellent partnerships. You will be the named operational lead ‘champion’ and single point of contact within Lambeth Children’s Services for any suspected or potential child exploitation, and particularly child sexual exploitation (CSE) occurring within the borough and for children looked after by Lambeth and placed out of the borough .

The essential role will sit in in the new contextual safeguarding hub, comprised of three teams, all working closely together, while focussed on delivering measurable change in their specific areas. This post will be based within the Community Safeguarding Knowledge Centre , which will lead on data intelligence and analysis; quality assurance, training and good practice; Partnerships and Relationships; the Multiagency Exploitation & Violence Panel (MAVE), facilitating information sharing; and providing expert consultations for individuals, locations and peer groups at risk of criminal or sexual exploitation.

This is an essential role within the new hub, with the post holder will need the confidence and credibility to work with multiple stakeholders to meet the expectations of a diverse borough.
