Community Concepts, Inc., a mission-based business devoted to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in small group residential settings, as well as center and community-based day programs. Community Concepts, Inc. also provides clinical behavior supports to individuals with behavioral needs and challenges.

We are looking for a FT Crisis Support Associate ($18.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on experience) for our center and community-based residential program who are flexible in spirit, have a positive attitude, and are capable of supporting people with significant behavioral challenges.

Our paid orientation, which will be a combination of remote and in-person learning, starts on Monday, January 23rd and runs through February 7th . Applicants must have a computer and reliable internet access to attend.

Our residential group homes and day programs are located in Prince William, Fairfax, and Stafford counties in Northern Virginia.

What a Typical Day for a CSA Looks Like:

• Provides 1:1 support and crisis supervision to individuals with high-intensity behaviors in our programs throughout Northern Virginia.
• Ability to work flexible hours, as the site and schedule will change based on the needs of the individuals receiving crisis supervision. The hours can include weekend, evening, and overnight shifts.
• Provides direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assists with ADLs, and supports individuals with integrating into their community
• Completes daily documentation

What a CSA Should Have:

• A bachelor’s degree in a human service field such as sociology, social work, specialist education, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, or psychology
• 2 years of experience providing support to people with serious psychiatric or behavioral challenges.
• Must be eligible for Positive Behavioral Support Certification within 2 years of hire.

Ability to support with people with behavioral and medical needs is required. Computer and writing skills are highly preferred.

All candidates will be required to attend a paid two-week orientation starting January 23rd, part of which will take place at our main office in Dumfries. The orientation runs Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm.
