SUMMARY:

As a key member of Soho Medical Doctors PLLC, we are looking to recruit a dedicated individual to fill the position of a medical credentialing specialist to train and assist our staff with the knowledge and tools to credential and re-credential providers from various states.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist team to generate and send documents and verification letters needed for licensure and/or insurance contracting.
  • Work with the team to correctly obtain information and or inform providers of credentialing status/changes.
  • Maintain records of applications, verification of completeness, and accuracy of documents.
  • Document all tasks, phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication during the credentialing and re-credentialing process in the database.
  • Respond promptly to all questions, received via phone or email regarding licensure, credentialing, and/or privileges
  • Assist team to create and maintain provider files for credentialing and insurance needs.
  • Assist team in informing providers of expiring documents and/or necessary information related to credentialing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate is assertive, personable, detail-oriented, passionate about their work and others, can work as a team player, and works well under pressure.

Must have at least 2+ years of credentialing/re-credentialing experience as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. This person must be proficient in Google Drive.

Experience with NCQA, Credentialing Committees and Delegated Credentialing agreements is a plus. This candidate should be able to train employees on accurately credentialing in/out of state providers, meeting critical deadlines for credentialing agencies, and organization of records.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Human Resource systems; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
