Job description
The San Diego Unified School District is seeking a Credential Specialist to assess certificated applicants eligibility and placement; monitor state certification processes, policies, procedures and related legal requirements; train and orientate district personnel; maintain certification records and serve as a resource to administration and staff on issues relating to certification.
POSITION SPECIFICS:

- Human Resources Department
- 4100 Normal Street San Diego CA 92103
- Scheduled for 40 hours per week, 12 months per year
- Qualifies for District Paid health and wellness benefits for employees and eligible dependents
- For a promotional/open posting, the top ten internal applicants will be provided unless there is an insufficient number and then the list will be supplemented with the top external applicants to make up the ten (Employment Regulations for the Classified Service of the San Diego Unified School District: Article 2, Section 9).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to four years of recent, full-time equivalent, increasingly responsible office-clerical experience, two years of which must have been in a full-time, directly related personnel-clerical work assignment in a school district personnel office.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid California driver’s license and availability of private transportation (mileage expense allowance provided).

- This information must include an approximate start date, end date (where applicable), specific site, job title, hours per week, and job duties performed for each long-term assignment.

- The supplemental questions should be answered thoroughly, clearly and concisely as the responses provided (along with the entire application package) will be carefully reviewed to determine which candidates will move forward in the recruitment process.
- Attach proof of education, training, certification, or licenses:
- Education, training, or certifications will only be considered if acceptable documentation is attached
- Photocopy of Degree or
- Photocopy of OFFICIAL transcript
- Photocopy of Licenses and/or Certifications
- Foreign Equivalency Certification:
Individuals who have completed high school or college-level coursework at an institution in a country other than the United States must provide a Foreign Equivalency Certification to satisfy the education requirement.
