We are looking for passionate Cost Management Team Process & Governance Lead to help achieve that mission.

Within CO+I, the Infrastructure, Planning and Acquisition team is responsible for supporting delivery of datacenter capacity for Microsoft’s cloud business. We have a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects with specific safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals.

We are seeking an experienced process management and governance professional to join the Cost Management team within CO+I Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC). The successful candidate will be responsible for group process, policy management, and maintenance, group auditing processes exclusive to the Cost Management team. In addition the individual selected will also keep these processes in line with the EPC Center of Excellence Standards document control systems, maintaining and managing the document control system and process of the team, as well as on/off boarding processes and processing.

The ideal candidate should have professional experience, preferably in the construction industry, and must have a high attention to detail, technical writing skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. The candidate should also be collaborative, self-motivated, and hold experience using and managing Microsoft SharePoint sites.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute document control processes & policies for all documents generated by the Cost Management team.
  • Monitor and review document control systems, making necessary changes, improvements, and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain the Cost Management SharePoint site, securities, and access.
  • Develop and implement processes and policies to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Maintain and optimize Cost Management business processes and polices; including establishing and tracking metrics to ensure best practices and adherence, and facilitates process-level change management efforts.
  • Execute end-to-end governance for simple processes/parts of a process. Document flow, controls, underlying systems, and requirements needed.
  • Manage group auditing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring that all necessary documents are completed and filed correctly; including security access to tools and documents.
  • Plan, manage, and execute multiple, time-sensitive projects with competing priorities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 2+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL Server, Data Visualization techniques, and Business Intelligence (BI) development tools
  • 1+ years of experience using and managing SharePoint sites
  • 1+ years of experience with technical writing
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building positive relationships from a wide variety of stakeholders including commercial partners
  • Experience with Construction Management and Project Controls
  • Experience with development of PowerApps or hands on experience
  • High attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines with quality deliverables
  • Advanced Word, Visio, and PowerPoint skills
  • Lean, Business Process Management Professional, Process Change Management, Six Sigma, and/or Agile certifications

Process Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
