Here’s Your Opportunity:

Under the direction of the Assistant Controller, perform costing for the company. Complete various daily costing activities. Review and reconcile material purchase price variances. Assist in the generation of product costs, and in the preparation of monthly financial statements.


Here’s how you’ll contribute:

  • Review daily sales and cost activity for proper costing and margins.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure proper lot sizes, Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and routings.
  • Evaluate existing and new system data to ensure accuracy of material master data.
  • Perform cost rolls as required.
  • Analyze special projects, (cost savings, capital return on investments, trend analysis) as necessary.
  • Review new and changed BOM’s and routings for accurate and potential margin issues.
  • Evaluate and reconcile the calculation of purchase price variances and the related general journal entries
  • Review, investigate and correct month end postings of sales and gross profit where applicable.
  • Prepare variance, sales and gross profit reports, and sales and cost of goods report for month end close.
  • Compute weekly labor and usage variances.
  • Maintain records for inventory returned to vendors.
  • Other related duties and projects as requested.

Here’s why we want you:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting.
  • 1-3 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
