Permian Resources Corporation (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Corporate Finance Associate. Permian Resources is the largest pure-play E&P company in the Delaware Basin, with a focus on financial strength and differentiated strategic thinking. The team reports directly to Co-CEOs James Walter & Will Hickey, and as such the role has regular access and visibility to both the Co-CEOs and senior management. PR’s Corporate Finance team is dedicated to ensuring financial strength and outperformance through detailed financial analysis and forecasting, capital structure optimization, and the clear formulation and communication of corporate strategy.
As an integral part of the Corporate Finance team, the Corporate Finance Associate will play an important role in corporate modeling & strategic planning, developing internal and external presentations, peer benchmarking and other ad-hoc financial analysis. In this capacity, the Corporate Finance Associate will have the opportunity to collaborate with nearly every discipline in the PR business. The ideal candidate will have strong technical modeling and research skills with prior oil and gas experience and be able to contribute while working across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced environment.
General Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and ongoing review of detailed financial models to enable corporate planning and budgeting
  • Compile frequent internal and external presentations, including investor presentations, quarterly and year-end earnings releases and presentations, Board of Directors materials and regular internal reviews
  • Prepare regular variance reports, comparing budget expectations to actual results and street estimates
  • Run financial models to analyze impacts of various operational and financial sensitivity cases
  • Contribute to the evaluation and execution of various capital markets exercises
  • Develop and maintain internal NAV model to inform capital allocation decisions
  • Support Permian’s internal hedging committee through the monitoring and review of hedge positions, and assist in analysis of the commodity markets as necessary
  • Evaluate Permian’s position within the broader market through regular peer benchmarking analysis and review of equity and debt valuation, trading performance and overall positioning
  • Assist in the evaluation of acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives by developing corporate merger models, analyzing optimal financing structures and conducting accretion / dilution analysis
  • Participate in other strategic projects and ad-hoc financial analysis, as needed
Qualifications
  • BS in Finance or a related discipline required
  • 2+ years of experience required. Experience can be in finance or banking (focused on the oil and gas sector) or at an oil and gas company, or a combination of the two
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience in preparing and maintaining financial models, with a focus on E&P corporate and valuation models
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of working across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Working knowledge of FactSet preferred
