Description
The Radcliff Veteran Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Veterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.

The Cook II position is responsible for ensuring nutritious meals are prepared for our residents.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinates the work of Cook I and Food Service Workers in cooking, baking and sanitation of equipment.
  • Mixes and cooks specialty foods for therapeutic diets for residents.
  • Assists with maintaining records for dietary department, Ensures proper storage of food.

This job requires mandatory COVID 19 vaccination or an approved exemption in accordance with CMS-3415-IFC from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This means if appointed to the position, the applicant must have completed the primary vaccination series for COVID-19, which means the administration of a single-dose vaccine or the administration of all required doses of a multi-dose vaccine upon commencement of employment. The vaccine received must be one of the FDA-approved or FDA-authorized vaccines. Proof of vaccination will be required. If a medical or religious exemption is sought, the candidate must submit paperwork to the employer prior to appointment for review and approval.

  • This position, in org unit 10202451, Hardin county has an approved Locality Premium of $4.47 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: NONE

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of cooking experience in an institutional or large scale commercial setting.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Vocational training in food services will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
