Offering a compelling blend of sweeping narrative and poignant personal detail, The National WWII Museum features immersive exhibits, multimedia experiences, and an expansive collection of artifacts and first-person oral histories, taking visitors inside the story of the war that changed the world.

Location: We are seeking Line Cooks for the American Sector Restaurant & Catering at the National WWII Museum.

We have FREE Parking, close to public transportation and Street Car.

We are closed all major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Mardi Gras Day!

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare and coordinate orders to ensure they are cooked timely and with accuracy and prepared with the absolute highest quality of taste and presentation.
• Comply with all established health, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Contribute to goal of 100% customer satisfaction through personal commitment to customer service and leading the culinary team by example.

Required:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in food preparation in a fast paced, high volume environment.
• Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.
• Desire to learn and improve culinary skills

Preferred:

• Culinary degree from an accredited college or university

Other requirements include but are not limited to:

Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight.

Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
